At least ¼ inch long, about the length of a grain of rice. If it’s too short, the wax won’t grip properly.

There can be some discomfort, especially on your first time, but don’t worry, we do everything we can to minimize pain and prioritize your comfort: A pre-wax cooling serum Ultra-sensitive waxes Highly trained estheticians Soothing post-care products Chill out with Netflix or some music in the background.

Should I trim before my appointment?

Nope! Please don’t trim . Our estheticians will do it for you if needed, come as you are.

Will I be in any awkward positions?

Never. You’ll be lying on your stomach, back, or side depending on the service. We’ll guide you step by step so you’re always comfortable and feel respected.

Can I get waxed during my period?

Yes! just pop in a fresh tampon before you arrive. We provide fresh wipes and tampons in case you need them. When you’re comfortable, we’re comfortable.

Is waxing safe during pregnancy?

Many Cuties stay smooth all through pregnancy. Just let us know so we can tailor the experience to your needs. (As always, it’s best to check with your doctor.)

When should I not wax?

Avoid waxing if: You’re taking oral acne medications like Accutane, or have taken them in the past 6 months You’re using topical products like Retin-A, Differin, Tretinoin, or any Vitamin A/Retinol creams, do not wax those areas for at least 7 days after your last use. You’ve had chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or other resurfacing treatments. You have sunburn, active STIs, infections, or varicose veins When in doubt, reach out or talk to your doctor. Relax, You’re in Good Hands
First time or a regular, we’ll make your waxing smooth, comfortable, and as ouch-less as possible. We welcome all bodies, all hair, all genders…because everyone deserves to feel confident in their skin.

Hair Length
Your hair should be at least ¼ of an inch long. That’s usually at least two weeks since shaving or 4-6 weeks since waxing. If your hair is too short, the wax may not adhere.

Exfoliate
Exfoliate your skin 1 day before your appointment to remove dead skin and help the wax grab the hair more effectively. Bonus: it helps prevent ingrown hairs later.

Wear Comfy Clothes
Loose clothing lets your skin breathe. Put on your sweats!

Minimize the Ouch
Skip the alcohol and caffeine before your wax, they can make your skin more sensitive. If you're nervous, some clients choose to take an Advil or Tylenol 30 minutes beforehand to take the edge off.

Schedule Smart
Schedule your wax 3-4 days before a big event to give your skin time to chill. If you’re a waxing newbie, we recommend waxing 2-3 times before your event to avoid surprises.

SAFETY FIRST…

Skin-Sensitizing Medications
It's always best to ask your doctor if you have any questions. Skip the wax if you are on an oral acne medication such as Accutane or have used it in the past 6 months. If you use prescribed creams such as Differin, Retin-A or any Retinoids, the surrounding area cannot be waxed within 7 days of product application. Waxing on these medications can cause your skin to lift.

Tanning / Sunburn
We recommend you lay off tanning the area you want waxed for 24-48 before your appointment as we cannot perform services on sunburnt or irritated skin.

Keep Us In the Loop

It’s your first wax (we’ll walk you through it)

You’re on your period (you can still wax, but you may be extra sensitive)
You’ve had any negative reactions to waxing in the past

After Your Wax
For the first 24 hours, treat your skin gently. Avoid heat, sweat, friction, swimming, sun, and intimate activity. Some redness or tenderness is totally normal, especially for sensitive areas.

Stay Smooth Between Visits
