IT'S GLOW TIME

CLOTHING
Wear DARK, loose fitting, comfortable clothing to your appointment. Tight clothing against the skin will absorb the tan before it has a chance to develop. Wear open toes shoes if weather permits, close toed with socks if not. if it’s raining,  please bring an umbrella!

EXFOLIATE
Exfoliate your skin before the session. The fresh skin cells will form a smooth base that your spray tan will stick to. The fresher the skin cells, the longer the life of the tan. A good scrub and an exfoliating mitt will allow the elimination of all the dead skin cells and impurities on the body. Pay attention to rough areas like the top of the feet, heels, ankles, elbows, knees, knuckles, etc. Do not use an oil based exfoliant. Ensure any previous spray tan product is removed.

PRODUCT RESTRICTIONS
In order to prevent an uneven, patchy or streaky tan, please arrive to your appointment without ANY SPF, lotions, oils, butters, deodorant, perfume, make-up or any other products on your skin.

WAXING / SHAVING
Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. It’s important to allow the amino acids to reconstruct as DHA needs amino acids to develop. Also, the pores need time to close before applying the solution. Otherwise, the bronzer can get soaked into the pores.

OTHER BEAUTY TREATMENTS
Beauty  treatments such as waxing, facials, massages should be completed at least 24 hours prior to your tan.

THE FIRST 6 HOURS

• Wear dark loose clothing
• Chill... avoid activities that cause sweating, avoid liquid and stay out of the rain!
• Avoid touching the developing tan, skin to skin contact, and applying products.
• Wait 2-5 hours before rinsing. 5 hours for the darkest tan
• Rinse with water only and no soap. Pat dry

PROLONG YOUR TAN

• Avoid hot tubs and chlorine
• Wear SPF in direct sunlight
• Limit shaving + exfoliating
• Moisturize daily with an alcohol free moisturizer
• Avoid spraying perfume directly on your skin.
• Avoid tight clothing

GOOD TO KNOW

• Your tan will continue to develop after rinsing for 24 hours

Q - What is a spray tan?
A - Spray tanning is a form of sunless tanning where a fine mist is sprayed to your body. The formula interacts with your own skin’s chemistry to turn it tan/bronze.

Q - Is it a self-operated tanning booth?
A - Our cuties are trained in giving you the glow you want by applying the formula with an airbrush applicator by hand.

Q - What do I wear during my session?
A - This is an individual choice. Tan lines are optional. We provide optional disposable panties or if you'd prefer to wear a bikini from home that's fine too.

Q - Will I go orange?
A - No. Cutie Pie uses the best tanning solution with olive undertones to suit all skin types.

Q - How long will my tan last?
A - Depending on your skin type, pre tan preparation and after tan care, a tan will last up to 10 days.

Q - What is the Express Tan?
A - Our express or "rapid" tan requires less time to develop and can be showered off after 2-5 hours, depending on how dark you like to be. Light tan: 2 hours, Medium tan: 2-3, Dark tan: 5 hours. Regular tanning solutions must be left on 8 - 12 hours.

Q - Does a spray tan offer UV protection?
A - No. Although your skin may look brown after an airbrush spray tan, there is no UV protection. Always remember to apply a high SPF sunscreen.
